Samsung to Launch Galaxy A14 4G in India as a Budget-Friendly Smartphone

Samsung has plans to launch a budget-friendly smartphone, the Galaxy A14 4G, in India soon. Though the company is yet to reveal details, a recent report has tipped the launch timeline, pricing, and storage options. The phone, which was launched earlier this year in Malaysia, boasts of a 6.6-inch (1,080×2,408 pixel) PLS LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate.

According to a report by Saminsider, the Galaxy A14 4G is expected to be launched next week in India. It is speculated that the phone will come in two storage configurations, 4GB RAM + 64GB storage, and 4GB RAM + 128GB storage. The report suggests that the base model of the phone will be priced at Rs. 13,999, while the 128GB storage variant will cost Rs. 14,999.

Specifications and Features

The specifications and features of the Galaxy A14 4G are expected to be similar to its Malaysian counterpart. The phone is powered by a MediaTek Helio G80 SoC, paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It runs One UI 5.0 out-of-the-box based on Android 13.

The Galaxy A14 4G boasts a triple rear camera setup, led by a 50-megapixel main sensor, along with a 2-megapixel macro lens and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The front camera is a 13-megapixel selfie camera housed in a waterdrop-style notch at the top centre position of the display.

The phone is equipped with a non-removable 5,000mAh battery with 15W charging support.
