Apple Launches Two Stores in India with Highly Educated and Well-Paid Staff Members

After much anticipation, Apple has finally launched two retail stores in India this month. The stores are located in Mumbai and Delhi, and customers have been welcomed by staff members donning green t-shirts. The staff members are described as highly educated and tech-savvy, with Apple reportedly paying them up to four times more than their counterparts working in other tech brands’ retail stores.

Apple’s Investments in India

Apple has reportedly onboarded approximately 170 staff members to manage the two retail stores in India. The company has conducted due diligence in selecting staff members with high-level qualifications in Information Technology (IT), electrical engineering, robotics, and computer applications. Linguistically advanced staff members have also been appointed to be part of Apple’s Indian retail expansion. Some staff members have been relocated from other countries to be part of the expansion.

According to a report by Economic Times, Apple is paying around Rs. 1 lakh to its employees handling its two retail stores in India. The average salary of a mobile store salesman or staff member in India ranges between Rs. 1.20 lakh yearly to nearly Rs. 6 lakh per annum, according to industry researchers like AmbitionBox. This means that Apple’s reported salary is significantly higher than the industry average.

During his visit to India, Apple CEO Tim Cook met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi to discuss how Apple plans to grow its business and manufacturing from within India. It is estimated that Apple could double or triple its investments in India along with exports, according to Rajeev Chandrasekhar, the deputy minister for information technology.

In conclusion, Apple’s entry into the Indian market is a significant move that could potentially lead to more investments and expansion in the country. The company’s well-paid and highly educated staff members are expected to provide customers with excellent service at the two new retail stores in Mumbai and Delhi.
