The much-awaited Pixel Watch 2 is all set to make its global debut on October 4 at the highly anticipated Made by Google launch event. However, Indian consumers will have to wait just a day longer, as Google India has confirmed that the smartwatch will be available in India starting from October 5. And that’s not all, the Pixel Watch 2 will be exclusively available for purchase on India’s leading e-commerce platform, Flipkart.
While Google has been tight-lipped about the exact pricing and specifications of the Pixel Watch 2, they have tantalized us with a sneak peek at its design. In a video posted on X, the smartwatch can be seen featuring a luxurious porcelain-colored band. The resemblance to its predecessor, the Pixel Watch, is quite striking. However, it is worth noting that the original Pixel Watch never made its way to the Indian market.
Although Google has remained mum on the official specifications, various reports have surfaced surrounding the highly anticipated smartwatch. One such report suggests that the Pixel Watch 2 may be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 series chipset, possibly the Snapdragon W5 or Snapdragon W5+ platform. The report also hints at a remarkable battery life of over 24 hours, thanks to its always-on display (AOD) feature. Additionally, the Pixel Watch 2 is expected to run on Wear OS 4.
Another intriguing detail that has emerged is the possibility of the Pixel Watch 2 introducing four new packs of watch faces, namely Accessible, Arc, Bold Digital, and Analog Bold. In terms of design, it is likely to feature an aluminum body, adding both durability and style to the smartwatch. The Google Play Console listing of the Pixel Watch 2 has even suggested that it could be powered by a Qualcomm SW5100 SoC, claiming to be the Snapdragon W5 chipset.
In addition to the Pixel Watch 2 and the Pixel 8 series, Google may also unveil the new Pixel Buds, potentially named Pixel Buds Pro. These wireless earbuds could serve as the perfect companion to the Pixel Watch 2, offering seamless connectivity and an immersive audio experience.
