Stephen Lawrence was tragically killed by a gang of five or six racist attackers in southeast London while he was running to catch a bus with his friend Duwayne Brooks in April 1993. Despite this horrific crime, only two individuals, Gary Dobson and David Norris, were ultimately brought to justice for their involvement in Stephen’s murder. Dobson and Norris were sentenced to life in prison in 2012 for their roles in the crime.
