The White Shark Café, a remote location in the Pacific Ocean between Baja California and Hawaii, has long puzzled scientists due to its mysterious nature. Great white sharks, known to frequent the coast of California, embark on a lengthy journey to this enigmatic region every winter and spring. Barbara Block, a marine sciences professor at Stanford University’s Hopkins Marine Station, first discovered this area while studying the migration patterns of these sharks from 1999 to 2000. Her research unveiled that a significant number of tagged sharks ventured southwest to the Café, an ocean patch as vast as Colorado.
