Meta offers Verified Services in India

Meta has announced the extension of its verified services to India, providing users with the opportunity to obtain verified badges for their Facebook and Instagram accounts. The new service, Meta Verified, is a subscription-based service that comes with a blue tick and additional features. The monthly subscription rates for iOS and Android apps are Rs. 699, while a web-based subscription plan for Rs. 599 per month will be introduced in the coming months.

Meta Verified Features

Meta Verified will allow users to get their accounts verified using a government ID. The service will also provide verified users with proactive account protection and access to direct account support. To obtain the verified badge, users are required to follow certain steps. Firstly, they must open the Facebook or Instagram app on their Android or iOS device and click on the profile that they wish to get verified. Then, they need to go to the Settings > Accounts Center and select the Meta Verified option. If it is not visible, users may need to upgrade their apps. Next, they need to choose their preferred payment method and follow the instructions to authenticate themselves using a government ID. Once the authentication is complete, users will receive a verified badge on their account.

Meta Verified Requirements

Users who wish to get Meta Verified in India must be 18 years of age or above. Additionally, the company may verify the user’s prior posting history. Users must also possess an official government ID, where the name and photo matches that on their Instagram or Facebook account. Public figures, celebrities, content creators, and brands can apply for the verified badge by meeting the account and eligibility requirements.

Availability of Meta Verified

Presently, Meta Verified is available only in select countries, including the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, and India.
