Lava Agni 2 5G: The Successor to Lava Agni 5G

Lava, a homegrown smartphone brand in India, has teased the launch of the Lava Agni 2 5G. The company had previously launched the Lava Agni 5G in 2021 and is now working on its successor.

The Teaser

Sunil Raina, the President of Lava, recently tweeted two fire emojis followed by the word “Soon.” While the company has not confirmed the launch of a new phone, it is believed that Raina’s tweet is about the rumoured Lava Agni 2 handset.

Specs and Features

Reports suggest that the Lava Agni 2 5G will be a midrange handset priced between Rs. 20,000 to Rs. 25,000. It is expected to be powered by an octa-core MediaTek chipset and feature a display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The phone is also tipped to have a 5,000 mAh battery, 128GB of storage, and a 6.5-inch AMOLED display.

Comments and Predictions

Twitter users quickly responded to Raina’s teaser, with many predicting that the fire emojis mean the arrival of a successor to the Lava Agni 5G. However, some users believe that the hint could be for another product in Lava’s Blaze 5G smartphone lineup.

Lava is among the few smartphone brands that originated in India, one of the largest and most diverse smartphone markets in the world. The company recently launched the Lava Yuva 2 Pro, a smartphone priced under Rs. 10,000, in India. Lava is yet to announce the official launch of the Lava Blaze Pro 2 5G or any other Lava Blaze smartphone in the country. Fans of the Lava brand eagerly await the release of the Lava Agni 2 5G and hope that it will meet their expectations for a midrange smartphone.
