X-Men and The Last King Of Scotland star James McAvoy is set to venture into new territory as he takes on his first role as a feature film director. The film, which is currently untitled, will tell the true story of two Scottish lads from Dundee who managed to fool the international music industry by adopting American accents and claiming to be an established Californian rap duo, Silibil N’ Brains. They went to great lengths, re-recording their own tracks with fake accents and even claiming to be childhood friends with Eminem. Their audacious plan quickly gained traction, as they secured a record deal, a substantial amount of money in advances, and even an appearance on MTV. However, their web of deceit eventually unraveled, leading to a spectacular downfall.
BAFTA winner James McAvoy, who hails from Scotland himself, expressed his enthusiasm for taking on this fascinating project.
