LA-based firm Jackrabbit Media is set to launch international sales on Sick Girl, a comedy film directed by Jennifer Cram, starring Nina Dobrev (The Vampire Diaries). The film follows the character Wren Pepper, played by Dobrev, a woman who fears that she is losing her lifelong friends. In an attempt to bring them back together, Wren tells a lie that quickly spirals out of control, leading them all on a wild journey. This leaves Wren feeling guilty and torn between the attention she is receiving and potentially losing her cherished friendships.
A Talented Supporting Cast and Music from Fall Out Boy Singer
The film features an all-star supporting cast including Wendi McLendon-Covey (The Goldbergs), Sherry Cola (Good Trouble), Brandon Mychal Smith (She’s All That), Stephanie Koenig (Into the Storm), Hayley Magnus (The Dressmaker), Dan Bakkedahl (Veep), and Ray McKinnon (Deadwood). Sick Girl also boasts music from Fall Out Boy singer Patrick Stump.

The film was produced by Cassidy Lunnen, Emmy-winning casting director John Papsidera, and Sean McEwen. Dobrev is among the executive producers alongside Takashi Cheng. Sick Girl was financed by LA-based production company Whereabouts Unknown. The film was shot more than three years ago but was held up in part by Covid.
