Disney Entertainment Television made a strong statement at San Diego Comic-Con this year with a wide range of activations for attendees to immerse themselves in. One standout activation was ABC’s Abbott Elementary A.V.A. Fest, which featured a carnival atmosphere filled with games and treats for con-goers to enjoy. The impressive lineup included a swing carousel, a Philadelphia Eagles drumline performance, a giant slide, a high striker game, water guns, and an arts and crafts section.
Another crowd-pleaser was Hulu’s Animayhem activation, which showcased popular series like Family Guy, American Dad, Bob’s Burgers, Grimsburg, and The Simpsons. Attendees were able to indulge in doughnuts and coffee courtesy of Bart Simpson himself. Inside, a high-tech machine from Solar Opposites was available to measure stress levels and produce a Goobler based on one’s mood. For those feeling extremely stressed, there was even a chance to get the rarest Goobler of all.
As con-goers made their way back toward the convention center, they were treated to more exciting activities at the FX area. Highlights included experiences based on hit shows like The Bear and American Horror Story. Aspiring chefs could pose for photos inside The Bear, a fictional upscale Chicago restaurant from the series. American Horror Story delighted fans with the Hellevator, showcasing 12 iconic moments from the show and offering a sneak peek at Ryan Murphy’s upcoming series Grotesquerie. Additionally, attendees had the opportunity to capture photos outside Paddy’s Pub from It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia and explore the vampire’s Staten Island mansion from What We Do in the Shadows. To top it off, custom sunshades were available to help guests stay cool throughout the weekend.
Disney Entertainment Television’s presence at San Diego Comic-Con was nothing short of spectacular. The wide array of activations provided attendees with unique and engaging experiences that celebrated some of the network’s most beloved shows. From carnival games and character interactions to immersive photo opportunities and sneak peeks at upcoming projects, Disney Entertainment Television truly left its mark on this year’s convention.
