The Clapham chemical attack suspect, Abdul Shokoor Ezedi, is believed to be receiving help from accomplices, according to the police. Ezedi is believed to be from Afghanistan and arrived in the UK in 2016, reportedly hiding in the back of a lorry. It has been revealed that he previously faced charges of sexual assault and exposure, but managed to avoid jail time by pleading guilty. Instead, he received a suspended sentence at Newcastle Crown Court on 9 January 2018, with a requirement to complete 200 hours of unpaid work and register as a sex offender for 10 years.
