With an offshore session in 60 markets totaling $27.1M, the film has lifted its worldwide gross to $152.2M. Impressively, the international box office cume has reached $100.7M, surpassing expectations in key markets such as China, Poland, Australia, and Indonesia.
In holdover markets, The Garfield Movie continues to shine with strong performances in Germany, the UK, Mexico, and Malaysia. Warner Bros’ Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga had a respectable international weekend, grossing $21M in 77 markets. Despite a 38% drop from holdovers, the film has amassed an overseas total of $64.7M and a global total of $114.4M. With strong holds in markets like Germany, Belgium, and France, Furiosa is set to make a mark on the international box office.
20th Century/Disney’s Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes shows no signs of slowing down with just a 28% drop from last weekend in overseas markets. Adding $15.2M in 52 material markets, the film has reached an international cume of $197.1M. Notable holds in countries like Germany, Brazil, and Australia have contributed to the film’s global total of $337.1M, solidifying its place as the best installment in the franchise in multiple markets.
Paramount’s IF has continued its successful run in overseas markets, grossing an additional $11M in 69 markets. With a worldwide box office total of $138M after its third weekend, the film has maintained strong audience interest with only an 8% drop in overseas plays. The upcoming releases in Japan and China are poised to further boost the film’s international performance.
