Tech giant Apple’s next-generation iPhone, the iPhone 16 Pro Max, is rumored to have a larger display than its predecessors, according to a report. The company is expected to launch its iPhone 15 series of smartphones later this year, and the iPhone 16 Pro Max is expected to debut in 2024.
What to Expect from the iPhone 16 Pro Max
The iPhone 16 Pro Max is speculated to have a larger display than previous models. Apple typically launches top-of-the-line models with the largest displays, and the iPhone 16 Pro Max is no exception. The phone is expected to feature a 6.9-inch display, which is slightly taller and wider than the 6.7-inch display of previous models.
According to a report by 9to5Mac, the iPhone 16 Pro Max could be the first model to feature the “Ultra” branding. The report is based on early CAD files of the phone. The phone’s height is expected to increase from 159.8mm to 165mm, while the width is expected to increase slightly from 76.7mm to 77.2mm.
Other Models with Larger Displays
The iPhone 16 Pro is also rumored to have a larger display than its predecessor, the iPhone 15 Pro. The 6.1-inch screen of the iPhone 15 Pro is expected to remain the same, while the smaller iPhone 16 Pro is speculated to have a slightly larger display at 6.3 inches. This increase in size is to accommodate a periscope camera lens setup that is expected to debut on the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
This prediction aligns with a claim made by DSCC analyst Ross Young, who stated that both the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will feature larger displays. The iPhone 16 Pro is expected to have a 6.3-inch display, while the iPhone 16 Pro Max is expected to have a 6.9-inch display.
It is important to note that the launch of the iPhone 16 Pro Max and other models with larger displays is at least a year away. Any leaked information should be taken with a grain of salt as Apple is yet to announce the iPhone 15 series of smartphones. The series is expected to include the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max, which are expected to be unveiled by the company in the second half of 2023. Nevertheless, the prospect of larger displays in Apple’s next-generation iPhones is exciting news for tech enthusiasts.
