Altitude has launched a new genre film, Please Don’t Feed the Children, at the Cannes Market. The movie is directed by Destry Allyn Spielberg, and the cast includes Zoe Colletti, Regan Aliyah, and Andrew Liner, alongside Michelle Dockery. The movie follows a group of orphans who head south in search of a new life after a viral outbreak ravages the country’s adult population. However, they soon find themselves at the mercy of a deranged woman harbouring a dangerous secret.
The movie is produced by Jason Dubin, Josh Kesselman, and Michael Hagerty. Principal photography is set to begin in Santa Fe, New Mexico, next month on a script by Paul Bertino. Spielberg expressed her excitement about the cast, saying, “I am over the moon about this cast. Each of them shines in their own special way. They are all beyond devoted to their craft, and their hard work shows.”
Dubin also praised the new cast members, saying, “We’re thrilled Zoe, Reagan and Andrew have joined Michelle and the talented team of Please Don’t Feed The Children, a uniquely fresh take on a trusted genre that is both commercially viable while staying true to its artistic integrity.”
Colletti, who recently wrapped up The Family Plan with Mark Wahlberg and Michelle Monaghan for Apple TV+, is a co-lead on Netflix’s limited series Boo Bitch and was in season 2 of the Disney+ series Only Murders in the Building. She has also starred in Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark and Wildlife.
Aliyah is best known for her role as Juliana in the Netflix series XO, Kitty, and is represented by Karli Doumanis at Zero Gravity Management, Clear Talent Management, and Jackoway Austen Tyerman Wertheimer Mandelbaum Morris Bernstein Trattner & Klein, PC.
Liner can be seen in Peacock’s Vampire Academy and will next be seen in MAX’s upcoming film, Gray Matter from Project Greenlight. He is also a lead in Bang Bang opposite Tim Blake Nelson, directed by Vincent Gershaw, and is represented by AKA Talent Agency, Silver Lining Entertainment, and Meyer & Downs.
Dockery is best known for her role as Lady Mary on the Golden Globe-winning series, Downton Abbey, and also starred in Scott Frank’s award-nominated limited series Godless, for which she was nominated for an Emmy Award. She is represented by WME, Anonymous Content, Hamilton Hodell, and Johnson Shapiro Slewett & Kole.
Please Don’t Feed the Children promises to be a thrilling ride for moviegoers, with a talented cast and crew behind it. With Spielberg at the helm and a unique script, the movie is set to keep audiences on the edge of their seats from start to finish.
